The theme in this work is to show the many layered facets of the personality of the flower, as I see it, looking beyond the usual cliches. I was for example "the shy violet" considered boring and not worthy of any interest. Tulips never were more then a beautiful but somehow uninteresting flower to me either. That is until I started examine them through a creative lens. Now they are fascinating, sensual intriguing playgrounds of color and shapes who calls out to be released by the artists imagination. I plan to examine different types of tulips in an ongoing project. The end result will be a book.
