Judge David Slater

Let's Face It 4 - Portraiture

David has been an art director and designer since the mid 80s. During the 90s he held creative director positions in some of the UK’s top advertising agencies and design groups – BBH’s Tango, Saatchi & Saatchi Design and corporate identity specialist Wolff Olins.

For the last 6 years he has run his own agency/design consultancy specialising in branding and identity projects.

He is passionate about the art of photography and the capturing of a moment in time, all be it serendipitous or controlled in a studio environment. The aesthetics of image and composition are paramount in helping companies resolve communication issues, “photography is a fantastic medium for expressing a visual personality”.

Having worked on location all over the world with landscape and portrait photographers David often commissions photography to resolve his clients issues.

David’s work has won him many design and art direction awards both in the UK and internationally.
