Guest speaker at the LPA Photo Forum
Editorial and commercial photographer John Ferguson lets you into his wide and varied photographic world. This award winning photographer has covered a multitude of photographic assignments from the devastation of Hurricane Katrina and poverty in America, the plight of Aids suffers in the third world, to his photographic shoots with supermodels and world famous pop stars.
John has just finished a 6 year project highlighting the positive progress of Black Britons in the UK today. The final exhibition which was opened by Prime Minister Gordon Brown at City Hall last year, was John's attempt to defy traditional stereotyping, gathering together 50 exceptional individuals who all have the power to inspire black youth - to broaden their horizons and offer a glimpse of a different world.
The exhibition has now moved to the Liverpool docks museum for display from June to December 2009.
John's tales are uplifting, funny, and above all positive, giving you an insight into the rationale behind his successful projects and exhibitions and allowing you to experience his passion for photography.
