
Robert Dowling
As a hugely successful commercial photographer, multi award-winning Robert Dowling is behind some of advertising and music's most iconic images. His work has been exhibited throughout the world and his fine art and portrait prints are highly collectable.
Dowling has created memorable, enduring images for luxury brands and for rock and pop's key names.
Whether shooting album covers for Pink Floyd or on advertisement assignments for DeBeers, Dowling has always pushed his own creative boundaries. Over the decades, he has ensured that he remains personally inspired and excited about photography and film.
Robert Dowling obtained his pilot's licence so that he could explore aerial photography, and commissioning a special camera so that he could shoot cars with very long lenses on ultra large format. One of the Fresson prints (tri-colour carbon) that emerged from this personal project was selected by the National Photography Museum for their permanent collection. He has travelled the world looking for innovation, and took a creative sabbatical in New Zealand.
Now in his fifth decade of creating stunning imagery, Robert's next project will be work on a feature film to be shot in Brazil during 2009 with a planned release in 2010.
