Eric White Wins Silver

New member Eric White won Silver in the series category with his Taliban series, which was shot in the Autumn of 2009. "I love portrait photography," he tells us, "and felt this project was very special. I wanted to share it."

The series was created on an Army training installation in Bavaria, Germany.  It features German citizens dressed as Taliban insurgents. They maintain this role 24 hours a day, facilitating the training of American and international troops bound for Afghanistan. "The Taliban is currently one of my favorite projects," Eric says. "I want to continue photographing military training facilities, with my next excursion taking place in March 2010. Another ongoing project of mine is the documentation of the United States boundary with Mexico."

Eric has worked as a retoucher in New York for the past five years and is now seeking to transition into full time shooting. He would like to gain representation in the UK.
