The winners and finalists galleries will also be published on the LPA website on the 19th March.
If you would like to attend the private view and bring some guests please send me a list of names for the door.
Call for entry closes on Friday 29th February so please get your entries in. The confirmed judges are Wendy Hinton - Picture Director for In Style Magazine and Emma Fountain - Director of The Hidden Wordrobe.
We have been very busy emailing the advertising and editorial world to bring creatives and commissions onto the LPA site to view portfolios and galleries. We want them to use the LPA as a resource but at the moment the 'search' function is not working efficiantly because a number of photographers have not entered their information.
Can I ask everyone, especially members to fill in their 'Specialist Subjects' field which can be found on their 'Details Page'. If you need reminding of the subjects you have chosen please look on your profile page where you will see your original choices next to Specialist Subjects:.
You are restricted to four subjects , please make sure that the images in your portfolio reflect your choice of 'specialist' subjects. Remember , you have space to talk about what you are doing in 'Career' and 'About work'. Please don't make the fatal mistake of thinking that nobody reads profiles, they are the third most viewed area of the site.
We will be opening out two new competitions shortly which are Still Life and The Nude. These take on extra relevance for us as they are both genre that are missing from Gallery 1839.
Gallery 1839 is now open to the general public.
