David Knight's work has just been selected to hang in The National Portrait Gallery in London, as part of The Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize. There were 6,300 photographs submitted from 2,300 photographers around the world.
The exhibition will run from 5th November 2009 to 21st February 2010 before touring to The Shipley Art Gallery in Gateshead from 27th March to 6 June and then onto The New Art Gallery in Walsall from 16th June to 12th September 2010.
It has been a very positive 2009 for David so far, with works being selected as finalists for The Olive Cotton Award, The Moran Comtemporary Photography Prize, The Hazelhurst Art Award, The Manning Art Prize, and The London Photographic Associations 'Let's Face It 5,' portraiture award. Another image has just been selected to appear in The Blake Prize, 'Directors Cut' exhibition. My work will also appear in a private collection opening on the 2nd Oct-15 Nov. at The Bathurst Regional Art Gallery, to be opened by the minister for culture.
David Knight is an advertising photographer based in Sydney Australia.
