ABOUT WORK

All the images are taken in spaces where I personally feel at home. I knock on doors or ring bells and ask permision to enter. Only in this way I get the everyday life, not rooms made nice for visitors or the photographer. If I donot speak the language, then I use a lettre. All pictures taken with middleformat camera BRONICA GS-1, colour negative film and available light only. From 2008 on Hasselblad and Phase One 45+.

CAREER

Since graduation in 2004 I am working on a project about the feeling "to be at home". For this I shoot interiors all over the world. For me private spaces are like a kind of self portraits. It seems that only between our own four walls, we feel safe enough to be ourselves.
