'Samson and the With' a magazine for the city of Rotterdam

ABOUT WORK

After attending the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam, Jeronimus van Pelt (1970) settled in The Hague. He has been active as a photographer of personalities since 2005 and has been commissioned by various design agencies, fashion designers, artists, ministries and companies. His photography is used for both commercial and private purposes.

There is a spiritual dimension to Jeronimus van Pelt′s approach, in which he seeks to capture the very essence of his subjects.

The ′cross-gender principle′ and ′inner wildness′ are recurring themes in his photography.

In 2008 van Pelt co-founded ′Cheers to your Eyes′ together with photographer Ilya van Marle . The dream team explores the many possibilities of photography, film and digital processing.

Since 2009 Jeronimus van Pelt has also worked regularly with welfare artist Daan Samson.

During the Art Rotterdam 2011 international fair for contemporary art, Samson and van Pelt presented the ′Artbabes′ exhibition at the TORCH Gallery . A sensual and provocative series of photos in confusing times.
