Andi Sapey specialises in documentary photography, often depicting travel, people, musicians, theatre performers and visual artists.
His recent subjects encompass a rich seem of colourful and discriptive images. Besides creating images for publication in national newspapers and magazines,
Andi provides pictures that adorn lavish publicity material, plus a broad range images for other prominent institutions and companies.
His travel photography, evoking the Far East through images rich in colour and sly humour, has meanwhile been the subject of a much-praised exhibition at the prestigious Sainsbury Centre for the Visual Arts.
Between 2008 and 2009 he was commissioned to put together two books of his photos, popular hardcover publications that attracted extensive coverage in places as varied as The Breakfast Show, The Guardian, The Independent, BBC Radio FiveLive, and The Daily Telegraph which hailed it as “a little gem.”

His work has appeared in National newspapers as well as magazines. Andi has also had two books of photography commissioned, among them Teenage Flicks, his imaginatively staged celebration of Subbuteo, the classic football toy. Juxtaposed with Andi’s playful images are brief reminiscences by childhood devotees of the game, ranging from Will Self and Jonathan Meades to David Baddiel and Alastair Campbell.
