Ecologically, man cannot ignore what feeds him socially,
politically, economically and most importantly spiritually.
The images challenge you to question why and thereby open
you up to a deeper understanding of the purpose of the
subject matter.
The core of my work endeavours to create a poetic and
visual conversation between the sea, where life began and
the ever-evolving interaction between mankind and the
natural world
Described as 'visceral' and 'intense', the work is both
immediate and demanding.
Linda uses both photography and sculpture to develop a constant awareness of the ever-evolving interaction between mankind and the natural world, and it is through these mediums that she continues to see the world from a perspective that embraces all creation rather than from only the human point of view.
For her photography Linda works closely with the renowned printer Robin Bell. This union compliments the images that she produces with both the Pentax 6x7 Mark 2 large format and Nikon F3 film camera, and also the close up work she creates using a105mm lens.
Linda's sculptures include 5 privately commissioned garden sculpture and most of her sculptures can be viewed on her website www.lindalieberman.com
