ABOUT WORK

A Los Angeles-based photographer, I graduated from the California Institute of the Arts in 2007 with a BFA in Photography. My practice centers on an attentiveness to the details that abound in my everyday life, and my work revolves around the people and experiences that make up my daily world. I photograph people to provoke emotions, capture an honest gesture and beauty I see within my subject. I use natural light to enhance the look of my subjects and to evoke a certain feeling or mood. I strive to capture them in moments of stillness and contemplation -- sometimes at ease and others stuck in their own worlds.
